New Challenge Discovery. A team of young Lao people organizing day trips in Bokeo Province (kayak, trekking, cycling, etc.). All the funds raised are used to help and support the children in Huay Xai countryside, providing opportunities to study English. Future plans include forest protection and education. New Challenge Discovery offers kayaking and trekking tours in and around the world famous Mekong River as it winds its way through the Bokeo Province of Northern Laos.

Our aim is to provide unforgettable experiences for our guests while raising funds for local community projects such as providing schooling to children in rural villages, building libraries, providing English lessons, and donating school materials to existing schools in the area.

Our future aim is also to reforest the jungle, plant young trees, and educate local village people with basic knowledge of how to preserve the forest for future generations.

Kayaking: available for 1 and 2 day excursions down the famous Mekong and Ngao Rivers. This gives our guests the opportunity to select from easy, relaxed days paddling through Lao's beautiful tropical jungles or adrenaline-pumping whitewater kayaking not for the faint of heart! Stop for lunch, make a camp fire on the river side and enjoy simple traditional Laos style food and fruits.

Trekking: Follow our experienced local guides and learn the history and culture of the region while keeping an eye out for acrobatic gibbons, charismatic birdlife, and dazzling native flora! This is no luxury getaway—be prepared to get sweaty and work for your dinner in our REAL trekking adventures, eating local foods and sleeping in the deep jungle.

One day trek is very good for a hike up to the highest mountain in the city to see the great view of the jungle and village. The place used to be the air base of the USA air force from the secret war of the USA during the Vietnam War. Good trek, good story and great waterfall on the way back to swim and chill out; a waiting tuk tuk driver will then drive you back to the town.
2 days 1 night and 3 days 2 nights are very extreme treks to the heart of the jungle. Very real jungle where no one lives, even local people. Trek through the jungle and villages, see and learn the way of local living, trek and camping in the middle of jungle where we can have more chance to see the wild life such as bears, deer, wild pigs, etc… Cook in bamboo; learn to eat jungle foods as simple life. Sleep in the traditional hut made from bamboo and jungle leafs.
