Planetarium Brasilia

After 16 years closed the Planetarium of Brasilia reopens its doors to receive the citizens, tourists and students that make visit in search of a greater knowledge on the universe and the astronomy. Check out!

The Brasilia Planetarium is located in the center of the capital, between the TV Tower and the Convention Center. It has been fully revitalized and features exhibits, workshops, classes, movie screenings, digital library equipped with computers with internet access, and adapted furniture, such as sloping chairs, as well as three meeting rooms and eating area among others.

The dome of the Planetarium of Brasília has a maximum capacity of 80 people per session, with a special armchair for a wheelchair and two for obese people.

Tickets for the sessions in the dome: 1kg of non-perishable food. Children up to three years old, accompanied by the person in charge, do not pay.

The entrance into the building to visit the facilities and exhibitions is frank.

From the opening (8am), the ticket office distributes tickets for all sessions of the day, and up to 5 tickets can be taken per person.

The ticket is valid only for the day and times indicated.

The ticket is only distributed for the sessions of the day of its withdrawal, and can occur from 8am in the morning or close to the session time, if there is room availability.

It is not possible to withdraw the ticket for the following day.

After the beginning of the sessions IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN the entrance of public in the dome. (Projection occurs throughout the dome.) Any external brightness interrupts the projection for those already inside the room, so opening the doors during the display compromises the quality of the projected images. Movement is only allowed for people who are already inside the session, in case of need. Once a person needs to leave, they are not allowed to return to the showroom.

Food is not allowed in the planetarium.

It is advisable to wear light clothing in the dome, due to the low temperature in the environment.

From Tuesday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 8pm
